Measured from this photo
- About 38% of the skin in the photo is covered in henna: less ink than 67% of the 2,300 front hand designs we have measured.
- By area: fingers 42%, palm or back of the hand 35%, wrist and arm 12%.
- A typical line is about 1.2 mm wide, so you would want a cone with a fine tip.
- Laid end to end, the lines come to about 3.3 m of henna.
- It has about 26 separate dots.
- More than half of the ink is filled-in shapes rather than lines, so it needs a thicker paste and longer to dry.
Estimates read by our software from the photo itself. The angle, crop and lighting of a photo change them, so treat them as a guide.
