How do I hide a name in my mehndi?
Write the letters inside a motif rather than on open skin: in the middle of a petal, inside a paisley, between the lines of a net, or along a bangle band. Use the same line width as the rest of the design so the letters blend in. Hiding the partner's name for them to find is a popular wedding tradition.

How long does bridal mehndi take?
Full bridal mehndi on both hands to the elbow usually takes three to six hours, and longer with feet. Book the artist for one to two days before the wedding, because the colour is deepest about two days after the paste comes off.

The palm, because the skin there is thicker. Designs on the back of the hand come out lighter and fade a little sooner, so keep the paste on longer there.
How long should I keep mehndi on?
Keep natural henna paste on for at least 6 to 8 hours; overnight is better. The longer it sits, the deeper the stain. Scrape it off with a blunt edge rather than washing, and keep the area away from water for the next 12 to 24 hours.
